Aim of the workshop:
This workshop aims to learn and understand the history, concepts and methods of MI.
Content of the workshop:
Participants will learn about the basic concepts, origins and history of development, as well as the human image of humanistic psychotherapy and how it differs from systemic, analytical, cognitive, behavioral therapy and other approaches.
They will learn the importance of basic skills such as putting oneself in the other person’s shoes, dealing with questions, active listening and I-messages, sharing information, eliciting valuable insights from the conversation partner and appreciating them, and dealing with feedback and sharing.
Participants will understand the importance of resistance and the active use of resistance for the change conversation, as well as the difference between eliciting the desire for change and transforming it into desired goals.
In this module, participants are given the opportunity to support each other. This strengthens both group competence and resilience. Resilience and bonding power are further strengthened in our second module and positively supported by our quality management. Following the workshop, questions arising from the application can be worked on.
